doTERRA Japan August 2017 OTG Promotions

Hi there! I hope everyone is having an amazing summer! It is super humid in Utsunomiya Japan but we are all handling it, with a bit of help from our friend Peppermint oil!

August in Japan is full of PLAY…well except for all that summer homework the schools give to the kids…sigh. Otherwise, it is all about going out and being social, going swimming at waterparks, beaches, joining big summer festivals, eating shaved ice, taking 3 cold showers a day, and finding the closest air conditioner to escape all the heat when out and about.

Lime Essential Oil is the Product of The Month in Japan. When you have a Loyalty Rewards (LRP) order of 125PV or more, between the 1-15th of the month you get a FREE bottle of Lime this month! Lime can improve a sore throat, just add a drop to a glass of water and gargle a few times a day. When you are feeling heavy and tired from the humid days here in Japan you can use Lime to enliven your mood and energy levels. It is great to use in your diffuser to invigorate your mornings or when you are feeling low during the day. It blends great with Bergamot, Black Pepper and Rosemary.
A drop is tasty in a glass of ice water or you can add a few drops to some homemade salsa if you happen to have tons of tomatoes from your garden, like we did this year. Here is a great salsa recipe.

Smart & Sassy

Smart & Sassy (also known as Slim & Sassy) is a great blend that has grapefruit Peel, Lemon Peel, Peppermint Plant, Ginger Root, and Cinnamon Bark essential oils. It is a bit spicy so use a carrier oil if you have sensitive skin.

If you are like me, living in the Northern Hemisphere, you may be ready to hit a beach. Smart & Sassy helps with maintaining a healthy metabolism, helps manage food cravings, calms your stomach and lifts your mood.

I put a drop in a big glass of water if I am really craving sugar, but not everyone can handle the taste of Smart & Sassy so doTERRA also offers gel caps that you can take as well. I also like to put a drop on my wrist and rub my wrists together for a mood lifter and to curb my appetite. If you are having a stomach upset you can put a drop of oil mixed with some fractionated coconut oil or any carrier oil that you prefer and rub it in a clockwise motion on your stomach. Diffuse it! It is a wonderful scent to diffuse in your home.

I have also heard, and will try this out this summer that it is a good repellent for ants! Who knew?! I tend to get a lot of ants in my garden so I will try it out by putting a few drops of oil in a glass spray bottle with some water and spraying it around the yard where the ants march around.

If you don’t love the spicy smell you can also rub a drop of the oil on the bottom of your feet to help control your appetite and you won’t need to smell the oil. I love the smell of it, but everyone is different with spicy oils.
