Hinoki Helps With Overwhelm & Anxiety

Overwhelm & anxiety girl was who I was last week. ALL week long.
One reason was plain and simple. Perimenopause. It is a very real deal and I can not say I love it but I am living it and learning how to get a grasp on things day by day.
When I feel this way I tell myself a whole load of crap stories and I am the only one that can reverse these stories. So what did I do…
Hinoki oil. I absolutely love the calming effect it has on me and it brings me back home to my center where I remind myself that these crap thoughts are not who I am.
This oil has been a game changer for me when facing anxiety and overwhelm.

Reducing Stress With Hinoki Oil

Topical & Aromatic only

Hinoki is steam distilled from wood.

Primary Uses
Calming, Colds, Rashes, Cleaning, Cuts & Scrapes, and Reducing Stress.

Topical Uses
Add a few drops to a cup of Epsom salts and add to your bath water for a super relaxing bath.
Add to a carrier oil and massage into your legs, arms, stomach, feet, neck, and shoulders to help you relax.

Aromatic Uses
Diffuse daily here are some great diffuser blends that I use often. Add a drop in your palm, rub hands together, cup hands over nose and take 5 long deep breaths when you are feeling unbalanced, not in the flow, fearful, distracted, lethargic, self-loathing or unable to speak up for yourself.

Hinoki is protective, wise and righteous perhaps that is why it is historically used in Japan for building royal palaces and sacred baths because of its beautiful aroma and natural properties for resisting bacteria, fungi, and insects.

Hinoki can be used during cold and flu season as well. You can add a drop to a carrier oil and rub it on your chest to help with respiratory issues.

It truly helps with reducing feelings of anxiety and is highly recommended for use during meditation.

Hinoki blends well with Yuzu, Orange, Marjoram, Copaiba, Bergamot, Frankincense, Juniper Berry, Rosemary, Floral oils and Clary Sage. It is a clean, woody, citrus, spicy aroma. It is not a super intense oil, in fact, it is very relaxing.

Here are a few of Hinoki’s positive attributes:
Strength, Comfort, Stillness, Direction, Trust, Wisdom, Willpower, Straightforwardness, and Confidence.

I love using Copaiba and Marjoram together with Hinoki. Here is my most recent blend that I use when I have muscle pain.

Recycle a 15ml doTERRA bottle and add
20 drops of Copaiba
20 drops of Marjoram
10 drops of Hinoki, top it off with a carrier oil and a spray top.
Copaiba & Marjoram will ease the muscle pain and the Hinoki will help with circulation, inflammation and is very calming. ⠀

Here is another great recipe I use for Head Tension

If you have any questions about the Hinoki oil you can message me on my public Facebook Page Heather Minowa’s Circle Essence Community or email me.

Head Tension Blend

This blend works really well when dealing with head tension and migraines. ⠀⠀
15💧 Deep Blue
20 💧 Copaiba
10💧 Frankincense
5💧 Hinoki
Add to a 10ml roller bottle topped off with fractionated coconut oil. Apply wherever you are having head or neck tension, as needed. ⠀⠀

Hinoki & Yuzu Japan Oils

Japan has been blessed with two beautiful oils.

Yuzu (Limited) & Hinoki.

Yuzu is a limited oil in Japan that was released in June 2018 at doTERRA Japan Convention. We would love if it would be a permanent addition to doTERRA’s Japan’s collection but we are not sure how long it will be available.

Yuzu is a sour Japanese fruit with an aroma and flavor that is distinct from any other citrus fruits. This citrus fruit is bright yellow, round and slightly smaller than an orange. It has rough skin and big seeds. The taste is between that of a grapefruit and a mandarin orange; tart but very aromatic.

In Japan, Yuzu is almost never eaten on its own. It is used as a flavoring in many foods such as desserts, fruit liqueurs, tea, throat drops, also in cosmetics, bath salts, and a very popular way to bring in the Winter Solstice in Japan is to take a Yuzu bath.

How To Use

Hinoki is a very calming and beautiful oil. I use Hinoki almost every day on my legs for circulation, and in my bath to help me relax before bed. It is great in a warm foot bath. doTERRA uses thinning timber and scrap wood from the forestry industry to make this oil.

  • Diffuse before going to bed, apply to the feet, back, chest for a good night rest.
  • Put 2 to 3 drops into the bath, and relax your mind and body.
  • Use it for polishing the floor and wood.
